This is a front view of the Cathedral. My back is to the Baptistry doors and though I am using a wide angle lens I can't get far enough away from the church to get a full view. The marble you see here is a "recent " edition added in 1872. The white, pink and green marble mined from around Florence creates a fascade over the original brick.
