The one thing that I came to discover about Italy is that these old Churches,
though historical, are living and breathing parishes. This means they have
the old as well as the new. This spot honors two people--the great Renaissance
painter Raffael and the 20th century inventor of the radio and resident of
the United States Gugliermo Marconi. Marconi was the first to broadcast a
radio signal across the Atlatnic and the place where the transmission took
place can be seen at Marconi beach, part of the National Seashore, on Cape
Cod near Orleans.
